Fashion, Facebook, The Grocery Store, and More

It's time for September's round-up. I publish some of this in my sidebar, but for those of you read in a reader (like me), I thought I'd share in a post.

Here's what has stuck with me...

from Jen Lemen
"It’s funny the way our kids mirror our own dilemmas, putting up on a billboard the cartoon version of our most untended selves." Oh, the cycle of life! The parenting pain! The love.

from BeanPaste
Only Melanie could combine self-deprecation and sincerity into this sweet post. Up with People, indeed!

from The Calm Before the Stork
The most spot-on post about Facebook, and the tension between real and surreal connections, I've read. Starfish for Jessica Alba's aquarium, anyone?

from API Speaks
What do you do when your child screams STUPID! at you in the middle of the grocery store? Find out what this mom did.

from I Am Bossy
She's really funny. Really.

  1. Thanks so much for the link. I notice you have the Artful Parent listed as well...does that mean you're trying to get your craft on? We're in a bit of computer purgatory around here right now, but Maggie and I are still planning to write a tutorial for "peeps," the little pipe cleaner people. Someday.
